Sharnbasveshwar College of Arts, Gulbarga, has been in the service of the society by turning out efficient, effective and morally upright graduates they are oriented to Kayaka and Dasoha philosophy of education conceived and formulated by Poojya Dr. Sharnbaswapa Appa. The students trained in this way have occupied important positions in different fields of life. One such example is of Prof. V.T.Patil, Vice-Chancellor of Pondicherry University, Puducherry. He was the student of Sharnbasveshwar College of Arts, Gulbarga. Prof. V.T.Patil is a prolific writer, great orator and able administrator. This is a matter of great pride to all of us here at Sharnbasveshwar College of Arts. In this way a large number of students of our college are serving as teachers, lecturers and Principals in the colleges and also even in he various universities.
This college has made a unique contribution by educating a large number of students. Most of the students have come out with flying colors. This could be possible with the relentless service rendered by the committee, well read and scholarly band of teachers serving under the divine guidance of Poojya Dr. Appaji.
It has been a regular feature of our college students to bring laurels by getting ranks in the university exams. The successful students of our college have gone out to receive further higher education in different disciplines like Post Graduation, Law, Management, B.Ed., National School of Drama, New Delhi and others. A large number of students of our college are found in prominent position in different fields of life. They have been serving the society on the noble foundation of Dasoha and Kayaka laid in the formative period of their life in our college. The students of our college are serving the society in different capacities such as lecturers, military personnel, administrators, police officers, lawyers, judges, teachers, dramatists, writers, poets and others. But a special contribution of our college which can be mentioned is that a few students have occupied coveted positions in the social service and political arena. Some of them have become members of Zilla Panchayat, Legislative Assembly, Legislative Council and members of Cabinet in the Government of Karnataka. This trend is a continuous and common feature in connection with the students of our college.
